Where the Wild Things Were!

Happy Halloween! Pack 961 braved the Haunted Hueston Woods this weekend for hiking, camping, and 'trick or treating.' The weather was beautiful despite the cold nights which we survived by gathering closer around the fire for s'mores. The fire (& the beans) also helped keep the zombies away!

After an entertaining evening of skits and storytelling there was even a "Mummy" making contest! Good thing we had extra Mummy Paper!

Thanks to all our leaders, boy scouts, and parents for making this weekend such a success! We'll see you November 1st at the Drake Farm for the next Pack event!

BOO!

This weekend is the 2nd Annual Hueston Woods Halloween Campout!

Read on if you dare!

This is a FAMILY CAMPOUT and the cost is $5 per person to cover food. Children under 5 are free. Please let your leaders know ASAP if you plan to attend so they can arrange food.

Friday night meet at the group campsites located at the west end of the park. Follow the loop until you come to the Mountain Bike Shop. Turn right down the gravel road. We will be in the back at Site #1... look for the 961 banner!

Please do not park cars in the campground. Move them to the road/ lot after unloading. Tents only....no campers.

Each family is responsible for their own dinner Friday night.

Saturday after group breakfast we will go over itineraries for the day.

Den's will be organizing their own activities after lunch.

Saturday night is the MAIN EVENT:
TRICK OR TREATING AND HALLOWEEN FEST!
Scouts (and parents) may wear costumes if they wish or they can wear their Class A uniform. Don't forget a treat bag!

We will break camp after Sunday Breakfast.
