We're Pack 961! Chartered by the Oxford Kiwanis Club, we provide a safe place for boys from First through Fifth grades to learn the values of scouting, to develop outdoor skills, and to have FUN!

Cub Scouts Build, Race Wooden Cars

About 47 boys from local Cub Scout Pack 961 participated in the Pinewood Derby on Saturday, Feb. 20 at Talawanda High School. To compete in the Pinewood Derby, boys create a race car from a block of wood and directions. The boys then race the cars they've made. The top three Scouts from each rank will compete in April in the District Pinewood Derby. (Friday, Feb. 26, 2010; Oxford Press)

I Feel the Need for Speed!



The annual Pinewood Derby is one week away!
Is your car ready to roll?

Where: THS Auditeria;

When: Saturday Feb. 20.

11:00 Register/weigh -in
12:00 Opening (Bears); Judging begins
12:15 Camp rally/Raffle
12:30 Start of race
4:00 Closing

Scouts should wear their class A uniforms as pictures will be taken throughout the day.
