Yager Jamboree

More than 500 area Boy Scouts are expected to attend Miami University's "Night Under the Stars" at Yager Stadium, Friday, September 14. Scouts, ages seven to 18 years old, will sent up tents at 7 p.m. that evening, then snack on hot dogs from John Merrill and pretzels from Sneider as they watch a movie on the video board inside Yager. After spending the night inside tents on the stadium grounds, breakfast will be served to the scouts by Miami student-athletes and coaches on Saturday morning. The scouts will lead the crowd in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and displaying the flag before the Miami-Cincinnati game, then enjoy the match-up between the RedHawks and the Bearcats at 12 noon. The cost of the camp-out and ticket package for the scouts will be $20, while parents and chaperones can participate for just $15 The deadline to sign up for this pack event is August 28th.
